Process Engineer (Senior)
This position is a full-time role beginning immediately, based out of our Calgary or Edmonton office.

Location:
Calgary or Edmonton Office. This role is primarily office based but candidate must have the ability for intermittent travel to various job sites when needed.
Job Highlights:
This position is responsible for the successful completion of technical pipeline and facility designs, project deliverables, and related documents. Lead technical designs, conduct calculations, draft documents and mentor & review junior engineering work in accordance with industry and CCI Inc.’s codes and standards. Expert guidance, recommendations, and stamping of Pipeline & Facility Process design documents is required.
Accountabilities:
- Support Company execution of Pipeline and Facility Engineering and Design.
- Provide Senior Engineering review and expertise on process conditions, P&ID / PFD development, process design, service conditions, requirements, and code standards, including, where required, the generation of engineering memorandums, design reviews, and expert recommendations.
- Knowledge of piping, valves, metering, pumps, over-pressure protection, process safety, design, code & regulatory compliance, across liquids, gas, and hydrogen services.
- Projects may include pipeline process + mechanical engineering design, integrity replacements, riser sites, valve replacements, pigging stations, metering sites, LACT sites, Well pad Sites, etc.., across LVP, HVP, and Sweet / Sour Gas services.
- Assist with the completion of various project deliverables (engineering calculations, engineered drawings, specifications and datasheets, evaluation of technical feasibility, process design, pipeline systems optimization).
- Hydraulic modelling.
- Participation in project HAZOP meetings.
- Knowledge of Canadian Oil & Gas industry and related codes (CSA Z662, Z245, ASME B31.3/4/8, API, etc..)
- Mentorship and training of junior engineers.
- Technical coordination with various disciplines, both internal and external.
- Assist in developing and standardizing templates and commonly issued project documents/calculations to improve overall efficiency of the company’s operations.
- Maintain consistent involvement with Project Managers to ensure overall coverage of projects is in place.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an Accredited University.
- Registered as Professional Engineer with APEGA, and EGBC (additional PE licencing considered an asset)
- 10+ years’ experience in a Process P.Eng role.
- Knowledge in piping codes (CSA, ASME, PRCI, API)
- Knowledge in design of gas and liquids pipeline & facility systems
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- An excellent communicator and team player, able to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment with a positive attitude.
- Detail-oriented, meticulous, and have strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and take additional responsibilities.
- Quality and Safety oriented mindset.

- Technical writing skills.
- Professional licensure with other provincial associations (PEO, etc.) is a benefit.
