PIPELINE HDD INSPECTORS

Job Highlights:

The primary focus will be to act as the clients’ representative on each site typically upholding the client’s safety standards, environment police, and construction specification on work sites. The HDD inspector will be responsible for enhancing the efficiency of the construction and, where possible, identifying potential execution issues before the impacts are realized.

The HDD inspector will have the opportunity to work with an industry leading team within CCI & Associates, the highest quality of HDD contractors in North America, and gain great exposure to North America’s largest oil and gas owner companies.

Accountabilities:

  • Each Inspector will report to their assigned “Construction Site Inspection Manager”.
  • Each Inspector will be provided a Daily Report Form specifically for the task they’re overseeing.
  • Act as the clients’ representative on site in a professional, knowledgeable manner.
  • Review, monitor and report all applicable contract documents, codes, standards and legislation that apply to the scope of work and specifically the task being executed.
  • Actively participate in the Contractors daily safety meetings including JSA’s and conduct CCI & Associates specific JSA and complete Daily Inspection and HSE Reports.
  • Issue and monitor work authorization permits, document complete with photographs site and work activities and collect as-built information.
  • Monitor the adherence to the Design and Execution Plan, reporting any deviations.
  • Conduct a detailed safety checklist to ensure that the Contractors equipment meets the industry safety standards, and ensure that all equipment has the proper certifications.
  • Coordination of Emergency Response Plan, orientations, collection of Contractors employees training certificates and contact list.
  • When needed, source water and organize water withdrawal permits for construction along with coordination of the trucks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in HDD inspection or management.
  • Formal education an asset, but not required.
  • Safety training courses, background check and drug and alcohol testing required to work in the field. On the job training will be provided as needed.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Word, Excel and Adobe PDF Conversions.

Work Location and Hours:

  • Field based position.
  • Travel is to be expected.
  • Each individual inspector will be assigned to a Site Construction Inspection Engineer / Manager.
  • CCI & Associates operates across the entirety of the USA and Mexico and work locations vary depending on demand and experience.
  • Every specific job location has its own specifics including hotel, camps or other accommodations.
  • The hours are expected to be 72 hours per week – Six each 12-hour days.
